Vacation?

My job with Levi Strauss & Company has come to an end.
I have chosen to take an extended vacation before I begin looking for another job/career.
I am receiving a good enough severence package to not worry about looking for a job until after labor day. I won't need to start getting panicky until after the first of the year if I haven't found a job yet.

I apologize for not having posted in the last couple of weeks, but the cleaning out of the office and shipping HR files to various places has kept me hopping and the first week off we actually had tolerable weather with highs only in the upper 80's and lower 90's so I spent a lot of time doing yard work & cleaning the Garage. Both of those are limited activities when the temps start soaring into the upper 90's and 1000's.

My mom just got home from a few days at the Hospital so that also kept me away from the keyboard. Luckily it wasn't anything too serious. What seemed like it might have been a mild heart attack turned out to be that she needs to double her Prilosec. Funny how acid reflux and heart desease can seem so similair. She did have pain in her left arm as well which is an indicator of heart attack. I think maybe in addition to the heart burn she also slept on her arm funny & that is where the arm pain came from.

I do intend to do a bit of fun stuff and some traveling over the summer as well as take some course work that is being paid for by the Disclocated Worker program.
