Three Green Party candidates attend U of A forum. Candidates from all parties were invited but only the three pictured showed up.

From the left, Rebekah Kennedy (AG), Brock Carpenter (Treasurer) and Jim Lendall (Governor).

I find one good reason to vote for Brock besides the fact that he is a Green. He is a student at Hendrix College! Hendrix is a United Methodist college and is well respected. Hendrix students are involved in the community at large and across the globe. Many respected congressmen, senators & other elected officials have hailed from Hendrix and most have proved eximplary. Arkansas needs more elected officials who are Hendrix alumni.

Kennedy for Attorney General

Rebekah is the only Green Candidate that was included in a debate with the Democrat and Repbulican candidates. She did well on the debate which aired on AETN (Arkansas Educational Television Network). The debate may be viewed on the AETN website http://www.aetn.org/debates2006/

Jim Lendall and Rod Bryant are debating on AETN tonight. Asa Hutchinson and Mike Beebe refuse to be on the same stage as Jim and Rod. They have been in other debates with each other and sound almost the same.

Jim and Rod are quite similair in their views as well.

Too bad Asa and Mike weren't running against each other in the Republican Primary and Jim and Rod against each other in the Democratic Primary. Then we would have a more salient Governors race.

I sure hope that Jim and Rod get a respectable showing.

MICHAEL BOLZENIUS FOR AUDITOR

State Auditor is not usually is not usually a big policy influencing job but it is a state wide job that does require a high level of ethics. Michael's positions on issues not usually associated with the auditors job show that he has a good sense of fairness, and that is important for all statewide ellected officials.

Jim Lendall for Governor!

I am planning on voting for Jim Lendall for Governor of Arkansas this year.
I have had several friends tell me that I am wasting my vote. I do not believe there is any such thing as a wasted vote. Just because the Green Party candidate may have no chance of winning this year does not make the vote wasted.

I know Jim is a man of high ethical standards, I have known him personally for 28 years.
My presonal acquantance however is not the main reason I am voting for him. I am not a bit pleased with either the Repbulicrat nor the Democan in this election. They are both too similair for one, and neither of them strikes me as being the best person for the job. I have protest voted many times when I didn't like either the Republican or Democrat nominee.

This is not a protest vote either. Actually, a win for Jim Lendall would only require 3% of the vote. If he receives 3% then the Green Party will be able to have full ballot access in Arkansas. I believe that with full ballot access the Green Party will be able to lift up issues and ideas that the Democrats and Republicans are not addressing in Arkansas.
