Ten things I don’t understand about other people.
Or
Ten things that other people don’t understand about me.

Yesterday a friend was visiting about supper time and as we usually have plenty to eat, we are usually more than willing to set an extra plate. One of the items I had prepared was beets with mandarin oranges. She said “you actually eat beets on purpose?”
Later when I went to the bathroom, the toilet paper was different than the kind we usually use and that got this subject rolling in my head. At first I just thought “why do people buy perfumed toilet paper”. Then I realized that there were a lot of things that seem absolutely best to me and many of those same things others dislike. So take this list as you will, this list is in no particular order of preference.

Drinking soda-pop (Coca Cola, Mtn. Dew) in the morning instead of coffee or tea.

Soft smelly toilet paper (falls apart easily, costs more, and makes my butt itch).

Using fabric softener on towels (they don’t absorb water well).

Not liking fruits and vegetables.

Wearing “shorts” that reach almost down to the ankles.

Preparing and eating over cooked mushy vegetables.

Forwarding EVERY superstitious email.

Channel flipping.

Driving 20 miles over the speed limit (Isn’t 5 miles over adequate).

Shopping at Wal-Mart.

I don’t do the above and just don’t understand why others do.

WOW, I wasn't sure if anyone ever read this.

The whole post was mostly tongue in cheek but I think that most of the things we allow to cause discord are about as trivial as these things. Wars have been fought in the name of pretty minor stuff.
